im just up rating my cams to piper ultimate road as i have a standard pinto on webber 45's and was wondering about nos and wondered if anyone has an any experiance using it, cheers
not being funny but whats the point, if you running a whacky cam and twin 45's you probably looking between 150 brake which is a nice amount for
a pinto,
if you want to run NOS then you may to have to convert to injection and fork out for a lot more mods, i would suspect forged pistons steel rods and a
modified head would be on the list for starers!

like what alex says, i suspect you'd melt standard pistons.
best start with a better engine
vx redtops, 150 as standard. standard internals are good up to 300bhp i hear, and if you can do that, why bother with nitrous

Nitrous will not melt pistons if set up correctley
Nitrous does not need fuel injection to work, its all about getting the correct nitrous to fuel ratio with different size jets.
A 25bhp shot will not put any more stress on the engine so the internals will be fine
you only need a progessive controller above 50bhp +
what you need to do is get over to nos wizard website and join the forum
There is soooo much info on there and are a helpfull bunch of guys
apparently my engine is 157bhp built by vege engines, i was gonna but a fast road cam and port and polish whlist the head is off. nos seemd a good idea for a few hundred.
nos works very well if set up correctly...
i ran a 50 shot on my drag subaru with no issues for a couple of years, and thats with standard internals.....you could get away with a 75 shot on a
progressive controller used with a good engine...
pound for pound it is a good way of upping bhp if you want the occasional extra welly....

cheers, i'll see how things go think i might try the fr33 lol.
I might try a whiff of NOS on the crossflow when my mate remaps his Megane next year - we were both in the 14.8's on the 1/4 mile this year so I have a feeling he will hammer me next year if I don't pull a trick out of my sleeve!!
