Weber specialist/Rolling road in the midlands?
prawnabie - 3/11/09 at 07:13 PM

Can anybody suggest another rolling road/weber specialist in the midlands area that can have a look at my car?

The place I am currently using cannot get to the problem I have with the progession from idle to mains. The running was fine until I took it back in the summer for another check over. Since then it has had almost a "misfire" on part throttle.

My latest outing to them almost cured it, but the more I drive it the more I seem to notice it!!

Thanks

Shaun

Try MechRepairs in Cheltenham. They have recently done mine, they all the jigs if you need extra progression holes etc..

Would recommend them.

What about Aldon Automotive?

I used them years ago, don't know what they are up to now.

Another vote for mech repairs (or www.rollingroad.co.uk). Dave is a leg-end!

John Yeomans at Waymills garage in Whitchurch, Shropshire for Weber carb set-up
John is 'Old School' and knows Webers inside out

Or Aldon Automotive who a few friends have used with positive results...

It was running fine and you took it back for a check over?!

Anyway I had a similar problem once and i cured it by stripping and cleaning the carbs. i think there was dirt somewhere. might that be worth a try? you probably did?
