Where is the best/easiest place to pick up the rpm single for a duratec? Its for an input into an ECU, so needs to be clean, if you know what I mean
What ignition system are you using? If using an ecu it should pick it up off the crank sensor anyway as its using this to determine the ignition
events anyway.
Otherwise EDIS has an RPM output pin IIRC, but I cannot remember which pin it is.

Ah, righto.
There should be an RPM signal from the ECU to the tacho which will be a 12v square wave signal I should think.
You can't pick it up from the coil as it runs wasted spark.
Probably best having a look at the wiring diagrams in the Haynes book.
