Arrrrgh, ali bellhousing!
coozer - 18/11/09 at 03:13 PM

Cold out there today mind you... I'm changing the cast iron type 9 bellhousing for an RS2000 ali job, saving 6kg.

New release arm arrived this morning and cracking the bolts that hold the housing to the gearbox I see they are 30mm M12 x 1.5 and too short for the RS one which has thicker flanges....

So, where can I go get some 35mm M12x1.5 bolts? Local fastener place has minimum order of £10+vat and I only need 4 off not £11.50 worth...

Its never simple is it??

you'll also gain some of the weight back you've just lost with the longer bolts

Lol!

Cant help you, unless geting them from my bolt place (min order of 20p being record so far) and posting them snail mail helps.

I would suggest you try an a different motor factors.

Cromwell tools have always helped me out in the past when I wanted a small quantity of non standard bolts.

Give them a call.

There's a Cromwell branch on the Team Valley. Had a few bits from them, always very helpful in my experience (assuming they stock those bolts)

Its the fasteners place on the the team valley that you want!

Anixter (as was INFAST) - fromt he A1 southbound take the team valley turn - at the roundabout turn right and immediately take the first left.

Anixter are on the corner - dead helpful blokes and they have huge stocks of all kinds of bolts and nuts, washers thread lock - all that kinda stuff. Must have spent a small fortune there over the years but was worth it.
