Would anyone be interested in swapping bike carbs and manifold for twin Webber 45's and manifold?
There is nothing wrong with the bike carbs (from Bogg Bross) which are currently running on a 2ltr pinto, just had Webbers before and know more about
them.
U2U me if interested.

Hi, I thought from the title you wanted bike carbs for some webers
anyway realistically theyre not really in the same ballpark cost wise unless you get a crap set of webers
my bike carb set up cost less than £60 and i payed ott for the carbs apparently at £48 although I havent got a filter yet anyway good luck

If cash needed to be passed then that would be OK, and the manifold is worth money too?
I will check with Bogg Bros the cost for the whole lot as I have the receipt where the previous owner fitted them.
This would also sugges that they are around £300?

yes youre looking at £300 for a professional bike carb setup.
Raylee - £48 is cheap these days for carbs, 6-12 months ago they were flogging them but not any more.
Waht bike carbs are on them. Do you have any pics?
Steve
yes but realistically they are now used so prob more like £150 to £200 tops
have yo seen the price of a single 45 weber recently let alone a complete setup
this is just one of the many reasons people are fitting bike carbs
look at these

I can get pictures and will check the full spec of the carbs tonight and then post the info.
I am not suggesting that I am swapping used bike carbs for brand new webber 45's plus the linkage, throttle cable, unions etc (as per the e-bay
link quoted).
I am wondering if somone wants to swap their used webbers (need to be ok though!) for some used bike carbs plus cash if appropriate. There are
benefits of bike carbs (i.e. they keep their settings better when set up) but I have always played with Webbers and feel more comfortable with
them.

I beg to differ i have just bought a spare set of zx6r ninja bike carbs for £26 bargain
I would assume that the carbs for £26 are not with an inlet manifold which will add significantly more to that cost and then they will need to be set
up for a car engine.
I am not debating the cost of one over the other, this is what I have, is anyone interested in a swap. I have the receipt for original purchase and if
people and not interested no problem.
They have been supplied and setup by Bogg Bros who are well known in this field so not quite the same as a set off e-bay.

A complete set up from bogg bros is nearer 500 quid with manifold, airfilter, fuel pump and cables. Thats what i was quoted back in aug for zzr1100 carbs on a pinto manifold.
I'm baffled as to why you'd want to mess with carbs myself. They are the sort of thing i'd want set up on a rolling road and then not
touch. As you say, they seem to keep their settings better, are simpler so less to go wrong, and do away with the progression between idle and main
jets that often causes a flat spot with Weber / Dellorto carbs.
Personally i think you should reconsider and stick with the bike carbs. If you do swap you'll probably be looking for a rolling road session
anyway so maybe £100 or so for no gain

I can't see how a weber carb can go "out of tune"? the only adjustment I have on mine is the idle mixture - everything else is preset by differing components
as per previous post these are a spare set i have a bogg bros manifold and as for setting up cost me £3 for a set of jewelers drill bits and inside
know how on set ups
to do it this way still looking at £300 mark
