Does anyone know if the cranks out of different crossflow blocks are interchangeable? I have a 711 block with a knackered crank and have been offered a good crank out of a 681 block. Will this fit the 711?

I thought the bearing tunnels were thinner on the 681, a phone call to Burton performance will put you right.
Why not grind the crank 0.25 undersize?
