not bad for £1300

Forged wheels too. Hoping I can get back most of the cost by selling off what I don't need.

blakep82 - 15/12/09 at 10:03 PM

you wouldn't like to give me the mirrors would you? someone nicked one off my bmw

McLannahan - 15/12/09 at 10:04 PM

I'd not break that!

What an excellent track car that'd make for not much more money....

tegwin - 15/12/09 at 10:06 PM

mhmmm... my TVR would quite like having a go at digesting the engine from that!!!

cool
personally i'd not break it actually. for the price you paid, i recon you could fix it for less than its worth
but i still want the mirrors lol

If I break it i'll have a 3.0 straight six/box/loom that'll cost me a couple of hundred quid tops!

Volvorsport - 15/12/09 at 10:43 PM

£1300 !!!

you like expensive motors .

i wouldnt say no to the gearbox .

skodaman - 15/12/09 at 10:44 PM

mmm chavtastic. Think i'd get it on the road and use it at that price. Wouldn't trust myself in a seven with that much power.

franky - 15/12/09 at 10:46 PM

£1300 is cheap as chips for a pukka m3. was thinking alfa v6 but that would cost £500 just for the lump never mind making it RWD.

As above there's potential for it only costing me £300ish for a proven 300bhp engine. whats expensive about that?

some people will pay £6k for a 230bhp n/a duratec. thats expensive!

quite right £1300 is cheap , just wouldnt get me paying £1300 !!

i dont believe an alfa V6 would cost £500 either .

franky - 15/12/09 at 11:03 PM

cheapest 3.0 24v v6 I could find was £500 and that was a bargin as it had everything on the front subframe too.

It was the cost of a RWD conversion to it too added to needing an extra manifold etc etc.

dlatch - 15/12/09 at 11:19 PM

no matter what anyone says thats a billy bargain and a cracker of a engine

they like a bit of boost too when 300bhp is not enough

I could have bought you a 24V 2.9 cosworth engine for less than that, but then youd need to MS it.

Good motors but heavy compared to the alfa and still don't sound the same

Danozeman - 16/12/09 at 07:36 AM

Bargain mate but i wouldnt break it. id fix it and track it.

turbodisplay - 16/12/09 at 08:34 AM

I`ve bought 2 cosworth v6 BOA engines, first cost £180 5 years ago, 2nd 2 years ago £130, although second one i had to drive 400 miles in total to collect.

carpmart - 16/12/09 at 09:39 AM

Seems a real bargain to me too!

Second dibs on the mirrors

MakeEverything - 16/12/09 at 11:59 AM

Fibreglass panels, stripped interior, quick tidy up, all the heavy useless poo removed, roll cage, custom simplified dash and hey presto, a perfect track day car.

Eh?

Why do you have to run MS? the EEC-IV works absolutly fine.

My last Cossy 24V owes me -£19

and the one before that about -£50

Nash - 16/12/09 at 05:08 PM

Beware the cost of fixing and tracking an M3!

They eat brakes, tyres and clutches.

BUT

they are bloo*y good trackers!

£1300 ! What is wrong with it?

franky - 16/12/09 at 06:06 PM

Its got a small bump on 2 corners, its got a new clutch too so not worried about that

Liam - 16/12/09 at 07:25 PM

What do you mean fix it? It's already been taped up perfectly well! Use it for a locost, but first flog the interior and track it at least once first before you break it fully!!!
