have you tried your motor factors, may well have one on the shelf...

Even though I take the old one with me.

The Ford dealers have ordered three wrong cables, but took them back.

Four motor factors have each ordered the wrong one!

Have ordered the Venhill Universal jobby as I am off back to France after Xmas for the New Year and I need it done.

Another option would be for someone to take out the middle 2-3 inches around where it was roasted.

Best option imo is to make something up from universal bits and make a record of what you used. As you have discovered just ordering a 2.0 sierra throttle cable does not guarantee the correct part.

I had special speedo cable made up for land rover - series 3 gerbox to rand rovber speedo head.... not that it is relevant to your post but I'll reckon they will be able to sort you out.
