Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what belt should be used on the duratec, running 1.8 duratec focus tensioner and alternator mounted
low down, passenger side. I cant seem to find it quoted anywhere.
Thanks
Its a 6PK type belt. Thats 6 ribs, K profile.
The length depends on the position of the alternator etc.
Best thing to do is measure it with some string (needs 2 people) and see what you get.
Mine ended up as a 6PK1320 (1320mm long). Took a couple of belts to get it right though. If you buy the first belt and its wrong, cut it then wrap it
around the pulleys and then measure the gap or overlap and subtract that from the belt length. Should get it right second time.

Measure the total run of the belt using a piece of string or similar.
The belt part numbers are made up of total length, and number of ribs, e.g. something like 51100, 0r 11005 would be 1100mm long with 5 ribs.

The K profile is unique to cars, you'll probably find that most industrial belts are J or L profile.
Most power transmission place can order them in for you though.
Otherwise camskill do them in all the available lengths. Or its a trip to halfords to find the closest one.
