Dellorto DHLA 40 Query
Avoneer - 21/4/04 at 03:47 PM

Hi,
Does anyone know if I should have two screws or blanking plugs in the highlighted holes on my DHLA 40's (no letters)? The holes are not tapped and most 40's I have seen have something in the hole.
Cheers,
Pat... Rescued attachment Carbs.jpg

From experience of other makes of carb
I think they production drillings plug with a lead shot ---

I thought that, but the lead plug appears to be in the side access hole. I have filled one of the holes with oil to see if it runs through anywhere. If it doens't, all should be well shouldn't it????? Rescued attachment Carbs2.jpg

Mine have screws in but have been sealed with paint. I didn,t touch these when i rebuilt mine because i don,t think they will be easy to move.

Mine have a screw head but there's nothing under it. On the diagrams I've seen it seems to be a vacuum blanking screw. Rescued attachment carb.JPG
