How do i know what gearbox ratio's i need?

Quaife have a free gear ratio calculator on their website. You will need to gusetimate your peak power and peak torque rpm and decide on the ideal shift point/points.

If your using a standard type 9 then first gear is way too low. Have a look at the BGH website

It has a whole range of type 9 ratios built in.

No substitute for the others above, but you could play with this perhaps. (you've seen it before)

Note :
5th gear needs reinstating if you want to plot that.
It doesn't model the start properly so ignore the 0-60 time
