I'm trying to fit an escort zetec engine to my type 9 in the tiger and it seems like the bottom bolt holes don't line up.

Am i missing something? The clucth seems to line up ok and the top and middle bolts do up as well as the dowels lining up.

Is this enough bolts to hold it or do i need to drill/tap more bolts at the bottom

Ignore 'em - sump holes don't matter too much.

Pretty sure they don't line up on mine, too.

yep you just use the 4 top bolts

not the bottom one

Yes ignore them you should have 5 bolt holes which line up, 2 at the top, 2 at the extreme left and right, and one at approx 45 degrees, cant remember which side that one is on.

Mine hasn't fallen apart yet!

Yep only five bolts and I choped the bottom holes of to get more ground clearance

Phew. I was worried for a minute there. Thought i might have some parts bin special Zetec and type 9 combination. Feel much better about the job now.

As said only use the top ones. My sump hasnt got the bolt holes on.
