hi all im having some issues with the above, i have a 2.0l blacktop, a 1.8 zetec flywheel and clutch and a type 9 gearbox the problem i have is the
splined hole in the middle of the clutch plate is to small to fit over the type 9 input shaft, this is the combination i have been told to use,my
thoughts are is it a type 9 gearbox? its from a 1989 sierra sapphire and is 5 speed with the reverse top left so im 99.9% that it is so 2nd thought is
it the right clutch? if the answer is no which is the correct clutch for me to use with a 1.8 zetec flywheel type 9 box and cct133 bearing?
many thanks a confused builder
i remember reading something which said you use the zetec clutch housing with a sierra clutch plate. dont take it as gospel because i have never done it and am going from memory of something i read ages ago
Wrong clutch plate. There where two fitted to the early zetecs depending on gearbox. The one you want is the 220mm 23 spline 1" center that was
used with the mtx75 gearbox .
You have the smaller one
This should do it
