I know these are quite popular with people on here and I've just bought a set for our duratec install.

Are they pretty well proven among peeps on here in some heavy duty applications?
Used in the horizontal mounting plane as many 7's are? To me this design is not ideal, due to the continual shearing action on the mount, but there's a fair bit of work in doing anything else.....

look at subaru impreza mounts...

they are roughly the same size all be it square and not round, but they have a failsafe that stops the engine moving if they shear....

These mounts keep big V8's in lots of cobra replicas with no problems.
