rich201283 - 24/2/10 at 08:29 AM

What car can i get an external brake servo as i have not got enough room to mount on the brake master cylinder?

Many 60's and early 70's cars had remote servo's, MGB, Cortina, Classic, Consul Capri, Hilmans etc...

Heres a selection.

CBS make one linky but you may not want to pay that much

Really messy solution with dual circuit brakes as you either need a double ended servo or two separate servos.

Better just to use a more suitable master cylinder ie one with a smaller bore designed to work without a servo.

The OP would need two of those.

other option (but totally ott and excessive for a locost type vehicle) is an electrically boosted setup, rob from an old Jag XJ6
