why didn't you put the intake at the other end so there was no need for the big condom?

^^^or cut a hole in the side of the bonnet (like your exhaust side) and take cool air from there - then only need about 1 foot of hose.

Ribbed hose plays havoc with the air flow. If you can find some smooth pipe it will let much more air in per pipe diameter. The problem is compounded the longer the run gets!

some good words above! especially the ribbed part, i would replace it with a better hose

It's also drawing warm air from the radiator.

The idea above to cut a hole in the bonnet is favourite IMO. The advantages are huge!

No tight bend to reduce flow

Cold air instead of hot air intake

You could easily find a piece of smooth pipe to use if no big bends are needed

Even looks cool too!

the airbox tapers at the front meaning i cant get a big enough inlet at that end,the filter is just beyond the rad in the nosecone connected via a 3" pipe drawing in the air entering the front of the car the pic just shows it connected at the air box end
the pipe runs along the bonnet line where the holes were cut for the sausage filter which cools it alot when driving and as for it being ribbed it needed to be flexible but because of the tight curve smooth silicone hose would have just folded
