i remember there were some videos re this a while back, but is there an easy way to do it without new tools?
i guess it could be done easy enough by running a small bead of weld around a tube?
Depending on the tube diameter and material you can solder on a plumbing olive.
The tool from B&Q mango found is probably not up to steel, but is good and cheap for aluminium if you can source one.

i have "beaded " stainless pipes for my bottom hose by putting a few tack welds on them
as longe as the hose clip is behind them, it cant come off

I did mine the other day with a ball bearing welded into a pliers and a groove filed into the other side, did copper 15mm and 28mm and also ali 32mm
but that was 1.2mm wall vacuum cleaner pipe so thinish, quite a good result though! See:

ooh, interesting
like the self made tool there. might give that a go. it'll be aluminium pipe. been on ebay looking for hoses, need 34mm, but the shop i'm
looking at do 35mm hose, but no 35mm joiners!
going to end up making them myself i think...
