hi ive a question for all you boffins out there im thinking of getting my fly wheel lightened and balanced ....getting it lightened aint a problem. balancing is. so i thought of an idea if i could mount it properly could i use a wheel/tyre balancing machine and do you think it would work

Why not buy one of these:

The guy's been supplying them for a while now. He'd just need to know the type of flywheel that you're replacing, and he'll supply you with a new, lightened one that's already balanced.

Don't take ANY chances with Flywheels

See the results of a couple letting go and it Ain't funny
Luckily nobody got injured but it was more luck than judgement...

Also a Mate bought a 'Skeleton' one of ebay for a Pinto and it was way-out of balance
So tread carefully...
