hi ive a question for all you boffins out there im thinking of getting my fly wheel lightened and balanced ....getting it lightened aint a problem. balancing is. so i thought of an idea if i could mount it properly could i use a wheel/tyre balancing machine and do you think it would work
Okay I'll be the first one to wade into this one!
No!
NNNNNOOOOOOOOO, or you'll probably end up on This Thread
Why not buy one of these:
clicky linky
The guy's been supplying them for a while now. He'd just need to know the type of flywheel that you're replacing, and he'll
supply you with a new, lightened one that's already balanced.

we can supply 1 piece billet steel lightweight flywheels.
- colin.
Don't take ANY chances with Flywheels
See the results of a couple letting go and it Ain't funny
Luckily nobody got injured but it was more luck than judgement...
Also a Mate bought a 'Skeleton' one of ebay for a Pinto and it was way-out of balance
So tread carefully...
