Make your own short shift

I found a web page somewhere that described how to convert a standard type9 gear lever to a short/quick shift. I can find it now though . Anyone have the link for said page ?

Can you still do that when als using an extension to move the lever back?

I built a proper remote extension from instructions I can no longer find. I did also mod the throw but had to remove the detent from reverse but that has not caused a problem as i am used to driving Land rovers that have a usually broken spring detent for reverse!

I combined an extension with a quick shift mod (it made the extension easier).

I describe what I did on my website (see [WWW] button below) - look under "special tools & parts".
