Injection pump and filter connection help
adrianreeve - 19/4/10 at 08:15 PM

My bosch fuel injection pump has a 10mm inlet, and my tank has a 10mm outlet, but all of the high pressure filters a can find cheaply are 8mm in and out. This means I'll have to get adaptors on both sides of the filter, which seems a bit silly! Does anyone havea source of cheap filters with 10mm tails please?

Cheers

The (high presure) filter should go after the pump, ie. on the high presure side.

On the inlet side just put a low presure plastic filter, altough this will restrict flow to the pump. Tin-tops just have a gauze on the pick-up pipe to keep stuff from getting to the pump.

I used a facet pump to feed the swirl pot, facets have a fine filter inbuilt the pump.
