I need to knock up a turbo oil drain from a normal mitsibishi style flange to some form of sump fitting.
My inital thought was to get a threaded fitting with a hose tail for the sump and then run a piece of hose and two crimps but what spec of hose?
The other alternative is to try and modify some OE return pipe by cutting and welding it?
I notice most OE manufacturers use a hard steel pipe, how would one protect a rubber one against the heat from the turbine housing?
Cheers
i used threaded fittings with hose tails and samco silicone hose, its been fine so far!
Thats good to know! what sort of fall would you recommend from the turbo flange to the sump fitting?
On mine there is a 100mm fall, sump fitting must be above oil level in sump, use large drain hose (19mm) because of oil froffing.
