RPM question?
liam.mccaffrey - 30/4/10 at 09:59 PM

Imagine a single cylinder 4 stroke engine.

is the indicated rpm the rate of crank revolutions or the rate of completed power strokes?

With 2 strokes its obviously the rate of crank revolutions. I would guess its the same for 4 strokes but i wasn't sure?

It is - but it could be referring to Cam RPM, which is half the crank RPM.

However, it's not. So the point is moot. I'll get me coat...
