Since I deleted the power steering from my Passat/A4 engine I need a new water pump pulley. There are a few options in the VW parts bin but none that I feel like throwing 80 quid at on the off chance they will fit.

I've made this one by cutting and shutting the outer part of an Audi A3 water pump pulley and the inner from a Passat power steering pulley:

It's just the right offset and everything but it's slightly out of balance. Rather than risk ruining the water pump bearings I fancy having a pukka pulley made using my effort as a pattern.

Does anyone know someone/somewhere that can make me one at a sensible price?

I can make you an ali one - but you wouldnt be looking at much less than what you have already mentioned...

I understand about the price. I'm prepared to pay decent money for the right thing. What I don't want to do is buy high price non-returnable special order items from VW just to see if they fit!

It's just under 120mm diameter at the side flanges. Would that be a problem?

Nope no problem with the dia, would have to get some material in if you wanted one though.

Are you in a desperate hurry for it?

If not the easiest thing to do is to send the orginal over to me I can then take the measurements I need.

Turnaround is usually 2 or 3 weeks.

There's no hurry, I'm still sorting out the various ancillaries on the engine and I can do without the pulley for a few weeks. I'll send you a U2U.
