How can you tell that the Air Filter is completely dry?
l0rd - 1/6/10 at 06:11 PM

Just cleaned my K&N filter. How long should i wait before i respray it with oil?

How can you tell if it is bone dry?

I would leave it in the airing cupboard or somewhere dry for a day or two then oil it.

Just done that

It is amazing

4 min with the hair dryer and it is bone dry.

I nearly burned my hand holding it.

I am now going to leave it for an hour before i respray with oil.

I should have cleaned it a looong time ago. Did 23K miles since i installed it.

Out of curiosity, what oil do you spray it with? I will need to do the one on my tintop soon.

I had bought a kit from ebay ages ago Oil + cleaner

The brand is APC

it was about 12 quid.

Cleaned 2 filters so far there is plenty left for the next 300K miles

Being Greek, I should have said Olive Oil.
