Hi All,

Have a clearance issue with my prop (slight contact sometimes). What clearances do you run or think acceptable at the gearbox end (drivers side if that matters)?

what you mean the prop is touching the chassis?

The simple answer is as much as possible, but the prop should never touch the chassis, can you possibly stiffen up the gearbox and engine mounts?

i assume its a sierra diff? ie the diff doesn't move? if so, 1/2" minumum,
if its a live axle and will move, at least 1/2" space at all suspension travel

and add some prop catchers while your at it (quite a few old threads about them)

Sierra diff.. Just want to know what you run really to figure out what needs fixing!
