Can anyone advise what carb was on the 2.0 montego Turbo - I think it was a SU HIF44 - is this the same as the metro carb?
It is to go on a 2.0 zetec.
Does anyone have one for sale?
Why not use twin delorto's as you can get a pressure kit off the shelf so they work with a turbo. Knock up a plenum and you have a far more tuneable setup than one small carb!
Better of with bike carbs, easier to install I mean and still fit for it.
I have got zx9r carbs at the moment but i believe u need to make a pitot tube in the inlet
I believe thats the carb, I used it when turbo charged my bike. Very easy and forgiving but not very tuneable! Might be a bit small for a 2.0 zetec,
I dont really wanna run stupid boost - Just thort since the montego was a 2.0 then the carb should be big enough for the 2.0 zetec and easy the set up
The metros had a HIF38 carb iirc
The Metro turbo and the Montego turbo both had the same carb.
This carb would be a good choice for a low turbo car. You will need to get a rising rate fuel pressure regulator.
How are you going to control the ignition?
The 1275 Metros has a HIF44 as standard, but you must use a turbo carb as these are different. They are also like rocking horse poo!!!
