I have the following fault codes with my 05 2.2TDi Mondeo.

P0401 EGR flow insufficient
P0403 EGR flow circuit malfunction
P0405 EGR flow sensor A circuit low input

Took the EGR off cleaned all the muck out and cancelled coded.

All fault codes came back after a run.

Symptoms are the car goes great! A little black smoke out the back on acceleration - used to be a lot of black smoke before I cleaned the EGR This model has a servomotor EGR rather than the earlier vacuum one and looks expensive!!

Do I need one?

P0403 EGR is the solenoid fault. my little brother had that error.
