throttle linkage kits?

wheres the best place to buy a throttle linkage kits for kit cars? i have seen some made by sytec on ebay but was unsure if suitable! is there anything particular i need to know about before ordering as they all say for a carbed install but mine is fuel injected

Why do you need a throttle linkage kit?

Did your S2000 engine not come with a throttle body?

If it did, are you sure your not really wanting to buy just a Throttle cable, and ay worst a clevis for the pedal end?

will this be adequate? my last mnr had one mounted under bonnet with a return spring. how will i get the spring in the pedal

why would you require "a spring in the pedal"

Next time your in the garage, operate your butterfly, open the throttle to the full, stick your finger in the throttle body and let go, if it hurts then it will be fine, if it doesn't then you may need a spring

Don't over complicate the easy the jobs, the more technical you make it the more there is to go wrong.

Throttle body, Adjuster, cable, stopper, clevis, pedal, jobs a good'un.

Don't run the engine while doing the test, a fingertip and nail will do the piston a fair amount of damage

The throttle needs a spring, but if the one in the throttle body was man enough for the donor so should be fine. For competition you may require a second spring but you shouldn't need to be buying linkages to put one on.

AFAIK linkage kits are intended to open multiple butterfly's at the same time and tend to be carb/throttle body specific.

but the donor did have a spring on the pedal! thats why i assumed i needed one.

not tried it yet mate. its my first time doing anything like this and im doing it all on my own so i need to ask questions before i start in case i make a cock up!

No need for spring on the pedal, the s2000 indy i built in 2005 is still going strong without one having covered around 20000miles.
