i went to get my prop shaft made up today for my bec, and they quoted me £320 at team valey newcastle wich i thought was a bit steep. where do you lot get your propshafts made at i need a 2 part shaft with a center bearing but shaft needs to fit to an mx5 diff (not a sierra)
I cant remeber who I used, but if you can find the flanges/Ujs etc and just get them to join the two shafts together /shorten/lengthen etc.. it would be cheaper!
will the shafts need to be balanced? im gona run a 2008 gsxr1000 through what i think is a4.1 ratio mx5 diff it will be turning at a canny old rate.
I recently used these guys and although for a ZX12/Sierra, it was half the price that you had been quoted

Can recommend and found dealing with them a real pleasure.
I got mine from Congleton Propshafts.
I took in and old Sierra one and asked them to make a new one using the existing ends. They replaced everything but the front spline and rear flange,
new UJ's, balance and painted for £85+VAT.
Was a few years back mind and I did drop off and collect but may be worth a call.

You will want a TRT prop if its going in a BEC.
I used dunning fairbank - very happy with them, not cheap, but great quality.
Dunning & Fairbank, £110 if I remember rightly. All new parts.
