Barronge - 2/8/10 at 02:42 PM

Hello,

I bought a part built car and am just upto the gearbox bit of the build, its a MT75 but i dont know if this is a 4/5 speed or a push down/ pull up gear leaver.

Anyone have any pics, diagrams that could help???

Cheers in advance

MT75 is a 5 speed from the later sierra / granada's, its got an all alloy case with an integral bellhousing

its got this gear pattern:

1-3-5
2-4-R

and has a colar to lift for reverse

this pic is of the 4x4 version: (which just has the extra lump on the side)

pull up on the ring under the gearlever knob, then I think its opposite 5th

They are all five speed. If it has the standard linkage Then there is a colar to lift to engage and its bottom right.

I think they use mt75 in transits too, is the drawing for the car version (thinking remote might be different)

Wow that's an impressive pic lol cheers, second question is does anyone know of a company that will do a full shaft ( aftermarket) that look better than the original and gear knob

Thats an ultra rare 2wd v6 box sierra / granada is the same but 4cy bell housing.
there is also a small differance on the gear linkage

Ultima changed a fare bit with hydraulic clutch and starter moved to drivers side.

And transit is totaly differant again.

Westfield and Gbs do a revised gear linkage.

I made my own
