I've been looking at the inlet manifold for my 328i.

The only difference I can see is, on the 328 manifold, there is a plastic bolt on plate with all the vacuum connections on it. But on the 325i manifold, there I only 1 connection.

So would it be possible to plastic weld( like how you repair bumpers) the plate from the 328 manifold, to the 325 manifold?

Or, does anyone know of a suitable industrial adhesive to do the job?

Can't you not T the existing connection?

I dont know what either looks like the pics will certainly help.

The only advice I can offer for now is that you cut the plate large off of the one you need and cut a smaller whole to fit it. That will give you good purchase to glue plastic weld and prevent any risk of the plate caving in when under heavy vacum.

Basicly, i want to use the section that the plastic "plate" bolts to, and a small section of the side from the 328i manifold, then cut out the 325i section, so the new piece replaces the and covers where the vacuum conection is on the 325i manifold.
My thoughts are to overlap the hole to make a lap joint for strength.
