puma 1.7 vct help
Stuart_B - 28/8/10 at 06:37 PM

hi all, i need some help on a puma 1.7 vct, the problem is that the part,or parts of the vct are missing on a engine, just wondering what on earth it looks like, or what parts to try to source.

as all the pictures i see have the plastic cover in front so i can not see it.

any one got some pictures or even the system laying around they need to sell.

cheers

stuart

I'm building a Tiger Avon that will be powered by a 1.7vct PUma engine. There are some difficulties that you will encounter if your going rwd

hi, yep it is going rwd, could be tell me you setup?

i ordered the bell housing last night, got a engine engine sitting in there, and a mx5 engine, box, ecu, wiring loom, and propshaft

and then changed of mind again.

machine crank for spigot bearing

you may have an issue with vct ecu dependant aswell

hi, crank machining? for the spigot bearing, have you got any more info on that, or is just get the spigot bearing and send it off to get it done?

cheers

yes belive so,

get intouch with shawspeed, as there are no data provided by ford on refitting crank as there not supposed to be removed

I'm still looking into the spigot bearing issue but as for the VCT that is not a problem. I will be using an OMEX 600 and using the VCT much like a V-Tec in terms of how they will work
