Where is the best place to attach a stabiliser bar on a rover v8? I was thinking about making a bracket that used the bolts that connect engine to bellhousing however, the bellhousing is aluminium so is this a bad idea?

Bell housing will be fine, I would make a bracket to use the three tapped holes on the back of the nearside head, the offside supports the alternator.
