Well, after loaning a friend my LSD to put in his Westie whilst my build took shape (his old one was knackered), i've finally sourced a
replacement.
eBay diff linky
Looking at the eBay link, I've suddenly been overcome with post-winning stress. It occurred to me that I never actually asked the seller what
ratio it was. I need a 3.62lsd to match up to my pre-programmed DD2 Lite digidash.
So, ever-hopefull, I e-mailed the guy asking for codes to check the ratios on the sticky thread in the transmission section. This is the reply I
received.... "Hi, when i removed th back plate i miss placed the tag so i dont know the ratio sorry, the only numbers i can see are 83804026be
78084 hope this helps". Can anyone tell me what ratio it might be? I'd be amazed if it was a direct match to my requirements, but even so
I can still find a use for it somewhere no doubt.
All input greatly received!
its writen on the crown wheel if he's had the the back plate off....
most of the 7" LSD's are 3.62's and if its not I sure someone else will want it
90% sure it Will be a 3.6 most are but it it is a 3.9 a swap would be easy.
If it is any other ratio your in the money
for £100 it doesnt matter if its the wrong ratio, you'll not lose money on it. But nearly all are 3.62 anyway.
If you need a 3.92 lsd theres one on ebay.

If you're running a zetec you might find the 3.6 a bit too long, I would of thought a 3.9 or 4.1 would be more suited.
