1.8K series. only done it twice and random but why.
Stopped, turned ignition off and it kept running. Took key out and still running.. ermmmm took battery isolator key out and guess what.....?
It stopped,, phew,
How and why??
Emerald 3d and TB's. Caterham cams on verniers/
Sounds a little like what some people suffer with the Megasquirt..
There is a back feed If I remember rightly from the Alternator charge light that keeps enough of the Ignition electrics on to run the engine.
If you flash the lights or do something that takes quite abit of power it then stalls the engine.
There should be a post on here by me or others about where to put a Diode to stop it if you have the above symptoms aswell.
Yeh usually feed back from alt light or fan, stick a diode on them both should at tell you if you're in the right area. diodes are like 1 way
valves for electrickey.
Wondering if your fan just happened to be on that time??
Cheers

Sounds like an alternator back feed. Have you had any wires of there?

) Sorry mate. Think you've done well to have it back running.
Moral of the story... Never skimp on a head gasket.
Did it run-on before? Are there any trapped wires?
No didn't run on before and I'll check. The dash light is a change and have to find out what its a light for. I'll have to do a wiring search but not really gone near anything
