Anyone know if its possible to convert a 2 stroke outboard engine to run on kerosene instead of petrol.
We have discussed it at length here at work and decided that it probably isn't possible? Anyone know any better?
What modifications would be necessary?
pretty sure people have used kerosene in diesel engines but with adding lubrication as well.
cant see it working in a petrol engine.

During the fuel shortages, ( back in the very distant past, 60's ?), I ran my motorcycle on parafin, totaly illegal I may add, but it worked fine. To start it I carried a oil can full of petrol which I used to fill the float chamber and by the time it had used that it would run on the parafin. So does work, just a bar-steward to start on it.
