drove home from work and all was fine, about 45min later get back in to drive to my mates and it starts juddering like a diesel van does when its running outr of petrol and a bit of backfiring, does anyone know what it could be?

is it misfiring or just running crap?

Coil packs are common on them as is the sticking of the variable valve timing gear.

Sounds a lot like my housemates festa when when the coil died, but could be poo in the fuel i guess?

Unlikely to be plugs if its come on suddenly but a look at them might give information about whats going on.
