I have got a week at home next week, and want to get plenty done on the car like side and rear panels etc.
but one other thing i want to get sorted is getting the engine started on the key. But i think its overfuelling slighty. Is there anyway to try and
cure this temporarily just to see if this is what its doing? Really starting to bug me as ive had it started using a gravity feed, but cant get it
started using the fuel pump.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers guys.
Crimp the fuel pipe?

yeh just squeeze the pipe
check the fuel pressure and if need be fit an adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Put less fuel in ??
will try crimping the fuel line a bit on monday and see what results i get out of it. THen ill come back with the results and possibly more advise
Is your car on carbs or fuel injection?
If it's on carbs, are you SURE you have got the right kind of fuel pump, if might be a pump from a FI car, if it is the pressure will be too much
for the needle valves in the float chambers.
its on bike carbs with the fuel pump from the same bike
Crimping the line probably won't fix it. Find a friend or a shop with a wideband O2 reader and see if they can verify your mixture. If its off,
I'd look into rejetting the carbs.
