im having a 1600 turbo, what size exhaust do i want to be having? i have a 2.5" silencer at the moment i would like to keep, im looking to run around 20psi and 250ish bhp will 2.5" flow enough?

thanks

That should be fine presuming it is a free flowing system! I run a 2.5" pipe after a 3" DP on a 300hp 2.0L engine.

I ran 325bhp on a 2.5inch exhaust. If you go too big you will lose your back pressure and keep blowing oil seals on the turbo

so it would be ok with 2.5" downpipe?

2.5" is fine

I have done 390 bhp on a 2.5" with a 2.2 L engine.

I run 2.5 on 320 BHP works for me.

I had 2" on my Striker which was from when it was NA. That flowed 270BHP but was at the limit as the exhaust blued along most of the system at bends or restrictions. I wanted to go to 2.25" but ended up with 2.5" parts as they were more readily available.

That was supercharged though and my preference for 2.25" was purely down to restricting noise. The turbo will reduce that so isn't such an issue.

63mm or 2.5 inches is spot on,juts keep an eye on the EGT temps, you might need a 70mm down pipe.so will use the
28rs turbo?
