Hiya, ive got a Type 9 and zetec se (1.7) engine I'm mating together, got the bell housing, clutch fork, rs2000 release bearing sorted and the machining for the spigot bearing is on the to do list.

just a quick one for you guys,.. what clutch/clutch plate are you using?

Cheers all

You will need to use the se clutch cover with a clutch plate with the Type 9 splines.
Quinton Hazel have size and spec on line.
Burton Performance probably know.
Or last resort have the flywheel re drilled to take a Pinto clutch cover

I used a redrilled zetec flywheel, which was machined to match the pinto clutch.

...think ill got this route too. might as well have it lightened and balanced wile its at the machine shop ehh :-P

The Baron am i rite in assuming you used the original zetec se flywheel and didnt get a zetec s fly wheel drilled to suit...?

again cheers guys :-)

I did the conversion from a x-flow to zetec (2.0 blacktop) the x-flow bellhousing fits and I have a lightened zetec flywheel and a std Sierra clutch) Make sure you get the starter motor spacing correct as if you don't the starter motor will start the car but then won't disengage. It won't last vary long if it doesn't disengage.

the bellhousing ive got holds the starter in the same place so as long as i use the same flywheel it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for the heads up though, appreciated!

Cheers dude.
