Thinking well in advance I'm wanting to know what manual gearbox fits the 3.0 V6 from a 1998 Omega? Is there anything that will bolt straight on at a resonable cost? The engines, as I'm sure you know, are really quite good and being skint/tight (you choose which) I am looking for a cheap solution.

er, surely the easiest solution is one from a manual 3.0 V6 1998 Omega? there is such a thing. i'm sure other V6 ones will fit too.
