Yes it will you just have to use the fancy epoxy resin that's resistant to petrol.

nope, i mean one that goes between the engine and the carbs
i need one made, i've got a sort of working template one, but its made of steel, and is going a bit rusty inside, plus its got all sorts of
pockets inside where liquid fuel can gather and get trapped, which i don't like

Yes you can. Streamline carbon would be able to do this for you.
