im currently running a zx9r lump with a 3.62 diff but ive got a 3.14 just wandering how much power realistically itll need to make the diff worth while? or will it even be better than the 3.62 as it is? was speaking to danny at mk and he suggested it wouldnt work and to go 3.33 not doubting him at all hes obviously tried and tested himself just after a few opinions
what is the diameter of your tyres? This impacts this decision.
205 60 13 on the rear
just feels like it needs a bit more to pull with the 3.62 if you know what i mean
I run a 3.14 in my zx9 with the same size wheelsl/ tyres, and prefer it to the 3.62.
You can hold it in the gears longer. It still revs out in top on long straights.
If your worried about acceleration, don't, 0-60 and quarter mile times both dropped when i made the switch, as
you can put the power down better.

thats perfect thanks! il give it a go!
what sort of times were you doing out of interest?
You won't regret it.....forgot to mention, it makes no difference when setting off, i can still set off from standstill
with just a whiff of throttle and no clutch slip.
