Dvla note?

I have changed my engine to a zetec, I have a note from Ford technical information stating the engines age and power, Will this be sufficient for the dvla

When I changed the MGB engine to a zetec, I just told them the capacity and engine number, they're not interested in its age.

For MOT, the emissions are tested on whichever is oldest, the engine or the car, in my case a 2001 engine in a 1972 car, it got a visual smoke check.
