Well, after the advice on here, I decided to go with the Weber 32/36 DGAV for the 2.0 Pinto in the Locost and bin the 2V 28/30. I totally forgot about Sod's Law though, came to strip the carb down a little to check/clean and discovered that both butterflies were seized solid! After around 30mins I freed off the Primary, then another 90mins and judicious use of WD40 and a pair of pipe pliers I managed to move the secondary enough to remove the butterfly from the shaft then drifted the shaft out. Cleaned it up, refitted and it all works a treat now

No wonder this build is taking so long.....

Forgot to say why I mentioned Sod's Law, the other carb works mechanically sweet as a nut!
