trying to fit a tranX lsd to a sierra 7" diff

followed the instructions to the letter and getting tight spots....

taken it apart and totally cleaned all faces and rebuilt..

same problems..

obviously this is needs to be right..

can anyone recommend someone to set it up properly..

ideally in Essex or sorrounding area.

Too tight, give it a little more backlash.

Mine was the same.

but that will just make the clearance bigger at the loose spots

loose spots set to 4 thou clearance..

but very tight, if no clearance at tight spots

Do you have a dial indicator. Check the rotation of the gear to see if it is out of round. If it is, you might have a bad bearing on one side or the other.

I am assuming that it binds in the same spot.
