You can use a GPZ900 sump, it's about 75mm shorter, but bolts straight up.

You'll need the shorter pick up pipe too.

They sometimes come up on ebay. Much easier than chopping and welding (IMHO), however you do need to be careful with labelling and reconnecting all the oil lines.

If you struggle to find one, I've got one you can have for £20 plus P&P.
