Just a quick one...

If ur thinking of buying Doninator headlights for ur car u'll notice that certain companys are selling them as singles or as doubles that are one unit.

This couldn't be more from the truth.

The double units are simply bolted together and are very very easy to use as single units..

U'll be left with 2 5mm holes on the inside of the units but these can be filled with a rubber bung and will never be noticed..


The single units retail at around £39 delivered each and the double units retail at £46 delivered.. thats a saving of £32..

Really good saving and very Locost..

I always wondered how big the holes would be. Good info! Maybe you could screw the indicators to the side and make use of the holes?

Do both units in the conjoined one still have sidelights, low and main beams though?

yeah.. there both the same and have sidelights

Cheers... how about the mounts? Does each unit have a separate one, or is it a shared mount?

basicly the bolt that keep the two units together when removed free's up 1 threaded hole on each unit..

U can then use an M8 I think to bolt thru your light mounts and up into those holes.. U could fabricate some spall cups for under the lights and between the chassis brackets be this is bot needed.

U'll easlily figure it out once u've got them in your hand..

I sell both single & twin dominators & know them very well! In terms of the actual lenses, bulbs, sidelights etc they are identical, however the mountings are completely different.

My personal opinion is that generally the singles are worth every penny of their extra cost as they come with a proper tilt & swivel mount attached to the underside of the unit, the twins don't have any form of mounting other than the 2 x 8mm bolt holes in the sides of the 2 identcal units, I have a few sets of "C" brackets left to mount the twin units as singles, but this obviously negates some of the price advantage.

If anyone has any other Q's ask away!

Ah... yep, I would agree that the extra few-quid is probably worth it - saves a bit of a fiddle!

Surely the price of the brackets brackets doesn't equate to the price difference tho ???? correct me if I'm wrong

£16 a bracket... and they're already fitted! Seems worth it to me.
