Hi,
Been given a mondeo fitted with zetec 1800 it runs sweet and was going to use it but it's done 134,000 miles, what do you think is this to many. I've not had much luck with engines

cheers Batho

Its down to oil changes. If its had plenty with 05w30 of a good quality it should be fine. If its had th odd change with cheapo 15w40 one size fits all that some places do it may not be.

my zetec2.0 has over 125k on it and still seems ok, but then perhaps it will fail who knows,....

if it is worth using then perhaps a rebuild might be in order,..

I wouldnt worry just because of the miles. Fit it. Blow it. Buy another. any expensive induction and exhausts will just swap over.

Zetec are known to last well, often not showing any noticeable bore wear at 200k.
I would fit and have fun

Thats very true especially if 200.000 miles is known without bore wear.

That sounds good to me.

cheers

Anyone got a type 9 gearbox for sale?
