Hi all,
After getting the engine in as some of you have seen my earlier 'Wedding post' I need to ask a few questions please.
The gearbox mount (from Caterham) seems to be tipping the engine slighly forwards.
This means the prop shaft is at a slight incline - gearbox tail is little bit higher than diff flange.
So is this the norm, have I got the wrong gearbox mount?
Will it be a problem?
Thanks in advance.
I like mine level
Can you not space the mount to get it level ?
it should be fine, as long as the gearbox output and diff flange are parallel, then its all good.
look at rigid body truck, their props run at quite an angle!
I had to put12mm blocks between the chassis mounts and the gearbox mount to lower the back end of the box
